Truro Parish (Anglican) was established in 1835, with Saint John's (completed 1830) as the parish church.

Fonds consists of baptismal registers, 1825-1962; marriage registers, 1827-1967; burial registers, 1844-1955; and confirmation registers, 1913-1965. Besides Truro, includes registrations for inhabitants of Acadia Mines (Londonderry), Belmont, Blythedale, Brookfield, Clifton, East Mines, Eastville, Five Islands, Folly Mountain, Gays River, Great Village, Greenville Mountain, Harmony, Highland Village, Kemptown, Lornevale, New Mines, Old Barns, Onslow, Portapique, Riversdale, Salmon River, Shubenacadie, Stewiacke, West Mines, and Westchester.
