The records described in the Nova Scotia Parish Registers Collection Database are available at Nova Scotia Archives (Halifax, NS) in microfilm format for personal research purposes. The original records were returned to the individual churches after filming. Today they may remain in those communities, or instead they may now be in the custody of the appropriate denominational archives. These regional organizations do not generally provide research services to the public, although they may be able to accommodate in-person visits for these purposes.
