Saint George's Parish (Anglican), Sydney, was established in 1791.

Fonds consists of baptismal registers, 1785-1928; marriage registers, 1785-1928; burial registers, 1785-1923; minutes of parish meetings, 1793-1845; and financial and propery records, 1793-1845. Besides Sydney, includes early registrations for inhabitants of other parts of Cape Breton Island, including Louisbourg, Main-a-Dieu, Cow Bay (Port Morien), Arichat, St. Peters, and the Strait of Canso area.
