The date of establishment of Port Dufferin Parish (Anglican), originally known as Beaver Harbour Parish, is not known; however, the parish church, Saint James the Apostle, was opened in 1847.

Fonds consists of baptismal registers, 1847-1986; marriage registers, 1848-1986; burial registers, 1848-1987; confirmation registers, 1914-1986; service registers, 1955-1986; financial and property records, ca. 1890-1985; and parish history and reference materials, ca. 1947-1986. Besides Port Dufferin, includes registrations for inhabitants of Bay of Islands, Beaver Harbour, East Quoddy, Ecum Secum, Harrigan Cove, Indian Harbour, Liscomb, Marie Joseph, Moose Head, Moser River, Mushaboom, Narrows, Newdy Quoddy, Popes Harbour, St. Marys River, Salmon River, Sheet Harbour, Sherbrooke, Smiths Cove, Tangier, West Quoddy, and Wine Harbour.
