Newport and Walton Parish (Anglican) : 1809-1956. — Microfilmed 1960. — 1 of microfilm reel.

Newport Parish (Anglican) was established in 1814, with Saint James' as the parish church. The parish later became known as Newport and Walton. The Newport-Walton serves the churches of St. James, Brooklyn, St. John the Baptist, Poplar Grove, Church of the Holy Spirit, Lakelands and St. Matthew's, Walton.

Fonds consists of baptismal registers, 1809-1956; marriage registers, 1809-1944; burial registers, 1818-1945; confirmation registers, 1878-1942; minutes of parish and vestry meetings, 1826-1956; and financial and property records, 1844-ca. 1857. Besides Newport and Walton, includes registrations for inhabitants of Ardoise, Ashvale, Avondale, Beaverbank Road, Belmont, Burlington, Cambridge, Cogmagun, Cornwallis, Ellershouse, Falmouth, Hillsvale, Kempt, Kennetcook, Lakelands, Londonderry, Mount Uniacke, Noel, Pembroke, Poplar Grove, Rainy Cove, Rawdon, Scotch Village, St. Croix, Stanley, Stillwater, Tenecape, Windsor, and Woodville.
