New Germany Mission (Anglican), also known as Saint John in the Wilderness Mission, was established in 1844. It became New Germany Parish ca. 1880s, when it was separated from Mahone Bay Parish.
Fonds consists of baptismal registers, 1889-1973; marriage registers, 1894-1973; burial registers, 1888-1973; confirmation registers, 1929-1971; service registers, 1919-1944; and annual parish returns to the Diocese of Nova Scotia, 1925-1944. Beside New Germany, includes registrations for inhabitants of Caledonia, Newburne, Northfield, Simpsons Corner, Union Square, and Woodstock.
