Mahone Bay Mission (Anglican) was established in 1844 and became Mahone Bay Parish in 1860. Saint James' (consecrated 1835) was the parish church.

Fonds consists of baptismal registers, 1845-1972; marriage registers, 1887-1912; burial registers, 1887-1972; confirmation registers, 1885-1980; minutes of parish and vestry meetings, 1852-1909; and financial and property records, 1833-1895. Besides Mahone Bay, includes registrations for inhabitants of Indian Point and Maitland, as well as early registrations for inhabitants of New Germany.
