Chester Parish (Anglican) was established in 1800, with Saint Stephen's (built 1795) as the parish church.

Fonds consists of baptismal registers, 1800-1963; marriage registers, 1860-1966; burial registers, 1800-1987; minutes of parish and vestry meetings, 1800-1972; finance and property records, 1800-1980; parish history and reference materials, 1956-1987; and minutes of the Chester Branch of the Anglican Young People's Association, 1941-1951. Besides Chester, includes registrations for inhabitants of Blandford, Canaan, Dover, East River, French Village, Head of St. Margarets Bay, Hubbards Cove, Hubbards River, Indian Point, Martins River, Sherbrooke (New Ross), Western Shore, and elsewhere.
