Christ Church Parish (Anglican), Dartmouth, was established in 1866, when Saint John's Parish, Preston, was divided. Christ Church had been opened in 1818.

Fonds consists of baptismal registers, 1817-1962; marriage registers, 1818-1964; burial registers, 1817-1966; and confirmation registers, 1905-1961. Also includes a few registrations, 1793-1817, for Saint John's Church, Preston. Besides Dartmouth, fonds includes registrations for inhabitants of Bedford Basin, Chezzetcook, Cobequid Road, Cole Harbour, Cow Bay, Eastern Passage, Grand Lake, Indian Harbour, Jeddore, Lawrencetown, Loon Lake, Malaga Mines, McNabs Island, Montague Mines, Musquodoboit Harbour, Oakfield, Porters Lake, Preston, Sable Island, St. Margarets Bay, Seaforth, Ship Harbour, South East Passage, Terence Bay, Three Fathom Harbour, Tufts Cove, Waverley, Williams Lake, Windsor Junction, and Woodside.
