Marble monument with a cross on top, in French, letters painted black. En douce mémoire de Gelaton Landry époux de Jeanne Meunier décédé le 9 sept 1925 à l'âge de 52 ans R.I.P. This is the oldest monument in this cemetery. There has been a large empty space in this part of the cemetery for a long time. Parishioners placed wooden crosses to indicate that there are graves. see: An Island Parish (1995 p.30) : "A group of symbolic white wooden crosses represent headstones for those who are buried in unmarked graves."
