This is the oldest monument in this cemetery. There has been a large empty space in this part of the cemetery for a long time. Parishioners placed wooden crosses to indicate that there are graves. see: An Island Parish (1995 p.30) : "A group of symbolic white wooden crosses represent headstones for those who are buried in unmarked graves."

(The first monument was destroyed by a hurricane and a truck — see An Island Parish p.31 — published for the 150th anniversary of St.- H). NB ingenious decorative support system to support the horizontal piece of the cross
