Woolford's Surveys: The Roads from Halifax to Windsor and Truro, 1817-18

''Very old Log House''

Between miles 9 and 10 on Woolford's map.  The Ternan famly believed that this log house was the first house on the Sackville estate, approximately 75 feet eastward (back) of the Sabatier-Berresford-Lister- Goulding-Ternan manor-house built about 1800, near Fort Sackville, Bedford. The log house is 18' by 12'9".
