AFFIDAVIT

IN THE MATTER of the application for the Registration of the Birth of SamuelYoung

Born at Glace Bay in the County of Cape Breton

That SamuelYoung Whose Birth is sought to be registered was

born at Glace Bay Cape Breton County on May 9, 1920

My knowledge of the fact and date of such Birth is based on the following Circumstances:

Samuel Young was taken to live at Arisaig when he was just a few days old to the very next home to my own and was adopted (not legally) by Alex D. MacDonald and his wife, Ella (MacKenzie) MacDonald who are both now dead. I am 64 years of age and since the MacDonald's were my first-door neighbors and I lived only a few feet away I always knew Samuel Young's age and I first saw his Baptismal certificate before he was one year of age and seeing it again today, I am able to swear that to my knowledge he is the age given in the baptismal certificate.

Keyword Search looks for the "term" (one word or number works best) you type throughout the whole record. It is less accurate than the advanced search but it does let you search for age, religion, mother's maiden name, etc. if transcribed.
