Letter from James Ratchford to George Henry Monk seeking relief for distressed Mi'kmaq remaining in the area to catch trout and muskrat, as the moose and caribou are very scarce.

for this two years past - had it not have been for the humane and Charitable disposition of some of the inhabitants in relieving the poor Indians last winter they must have suffered.
Now Sir if you can send them some supplies before the communication between this and Windsor is stopped which expect will be in a few days it will be relieving the distressed, Fatherless & Widows, and many the blessing that is promised such rest on you.
