The Prat Sisters: Free Spirits of the 1890s

Letter from Bliss Carman to Minnie Prat: excerpt, congratulating her on her "success with [her] books"

Minnie had just won a silver medal for her bookbinding at the Paris Exposition, 1900. Carman had facilitated Minnie's bookbinding career by arranging for her apprenticeship with Evelyn Hunter Nordhoff. The remainder of the letter concerns news of family and friends. A note by Annie on the reverse indicates that Minnie forwarded the letter to her.

Date: 12 October 1900
