To the Honorable The House of Assembly.
The Humble Petition of Joe Cope for him self and some of his tribe.
Showeth
That the severity of the winter has reduced them to a state of great distress: That sickness has been So prevalent among them: that food obtained in the ordinary way of hunting has been very scarce, and that they are now suffering greatly from these [various?] causes

They would therefore humbly beg your Honorable House to grant them such relief as your Honorable House may be disposed to do. And as in duty born etc
