and that I have every reason to believe the greater number would readily liquidate their respective debts, provided they were allowed to work out the amount upon the road.

I now wish to be informed whether I shall remit the money now received, together with what I may yet receive to you, or retain, and pay it over the individual who may be appointed to superintend the work.
