the Meal which on examination will the Barrels averaged no more than 187 ½ lb to say 8½ lb short of the number marked on each Barrel which we presume will be easily accounted for through the numerous small weighings out of each barrel.
It may create surprise that we were not regulated in the distribution of the Meal by the number of persons residing in each family but we were rather guided by the extent of their immediate want and means of resource.
