The bearer Peter Wilmot finds it very dificult to maintain himself and family by hunting and fishing according to the Indian custome. He therefor is fully detirm'd if Government will allow him to improve some of the ungranted lands near to the forks of the River John in the District of Pictou to follow Husbandry in the same manner as the English Settlers by cutting down Timber clearing farming & Planting the lands, thereby to enable him to maintain his family by his industry in a comfortable manner. Pledging that his own industry here after shall entitle him to a grant of the Lands & premises by may improve provided it may be kept in reserve for him
