Sir
My last bearing Date the 9th of Sept. last
wherein were Inclosed the Effictive Lists of the Staff
officers of His Majestys Garrison of Annapolis Royal
up to the 24th Inst. advising Your Excellancy that I was
hopeful of sending you the Duplicates of the two Lists for
the Musters from the 25th June up to said 24th. Inst, as I was
in Expectation soon to Receive the Musters and Lists up
to the 24th Decemb. next, but being since that Informed
of Major Philipps's Sudden Death at Halifax, I was some
what apprehensive of a Disappointment, both in Regard
to the Muster Rolls and Lists, but in order to Prevent as
far as I was Capable my void or Blank in the prescribed
time for Mustering, I wrote to Col. Hore to advise him
that I had Proposed to Mr. George Dyson, the Major's
Brother in Law, to performe for me that office, and
hope Your Excellency will approve of my so doing.
I shall not trouble Your Excellency upon
His Excellency Gov. Lawrence
