[the] Indians [alone] have put me to great
trouble & expense. my [House] has been daily
crowded with them _ not for the purpose of
obtaining Land altogether for since they have
been told they are [to have] no more to barter for Rum
or to Sell grain _ they are not anxious except
for Blankets, [Provisions], Powder & axes, which
[others] to get rid of their importunity for these
articles, have referred them to me __
