A History of Mining Activity in Nova Scotia, 1720-1992

"Albion Mine Fire, 20 June to 6 July 1913." A group of men posing around the entrance to Albion Mine, Stellarton, NS. The owners of the mine, Acadia Coal Company Limited, presented these photos to workers in appreciation for their "loyal efforts" during the fire.
