Seen here in Cape Breton making the 1943 film, entitled New Scotland. It was produced and directed by Laura Boulton, photography by Judy Crawley. "This brief tour shows Nova Scotians at home, at work and at leisure while giving a panoramic view of the province's coasts, farms and forests." Laura Boulton had a 50-year career (1929-1979) as a "Music Hunter" in many parts of the world and consulted with Helen Creighton while making this film in Nova Scotia. Judith (Sparks) Crawley (1914-1986) was a pioneer in the Canadian film industry and did extensive work for the National Film Board. She and Helen remained friends for many years.
