A History of Mining Activity in Nova Scotia, 1720-1992

Plan which accompanied Glenie's petition. A small part of this plan opens up: "When this annexed paper is turned back, it represents the part of the quarry cleared off by your petitioner, 85 feet in length." At low tide, stone was cut from the shoreline to make grindstones.
