DARTMOUTH, March 2-The relief work in Dartmouth up to January 31., has cost $65,810.03 for administration, according to a report just issued by Chairman A.D. Johnstone. The expenditure is divided up as follows: Executive $1023.58; Build ing $3148.15; Transportation $10,154.51; Food $3221.02; Fuel $1981.23; House furnishings $4568.79; Clothing $7371.53; Salvage $1674.48; Patrol $12.9.37; Medical (including Rosenburg Hospital), $795.44; Parker Hospital $1288.41; Burials $902.05; Miscellaneous $105.47.

THE PILOTAGE SYSTEM.
In reference to the statement that the report of the commission on the Halifax pilotage system has recommended placing it directly under the Minister of Marine and doing away with the management board system the Board of Trade has wired the Department of Marine asking that no action be taken until a copy of the report is available in Halifax.
