Archibald MacMechan PhD
Halifax, NS

Dear Sir,
I wish to thank you for your letter of the 6th inst, and in reply may say that in the care being sent out for doctors and nurses, I thought it my duty to go to Halifax to do what I could by way of giving relief to those afflicted. On arriving at Halifax Friday evening I reported at the City Hall and was directed for duty for the next morning - Saturday - at Camp Hill Military Hospital. I was assigned duty by the supt. Major Morris at the Hospital, to work under supervision of Capt {not legible] Chisholm where I worked till Monday afternoon leaving by the night train for home.

Very truly yours
J. C. Morrison
