Mr. H. F. Glass,
Comptroller, Halifax Relief Commission,
City

Dear Sir:

As requested by the Executive of the Halifax Relief Commission, I am sending in to you today all the papers, books, agreements and correspondence in connection with my work as Chairman of the Railway [?] Relief Transportation Committee, and in connection with same I wish to give the following information

You will find a tabulated list of practically all those who got transportation to and from the City. In the first week after the explosion in the confusion, naturally the records were not kept very accurately, but since our Sub-Committee took over the work, December 12, 1917, a system was adopted which enabled us to tabulate the names and keep duplicates of all the transportation orders given for tickets. We tabulated the names of those who left during the first few days after the explosion as best we could from the slips of paper which we found on file. In many of the cases, however, the names are not given, the order being made out simply to bearer.

Herewith you will find an approximate statement of the transportations from December 6, 1917 to March 15, 1918.
