Dear Miss Freeman:

I know you will excuse me for not answering your nice letter re this, when I tell you I have been out of the city most of the time since I have been to Halifax, on business for the firm, and very busy.

Very pleased to hear that you are still continuing to good work of doing good and please let me add that we all have pleasant recollections of the charming people we met at the First Baptist Church and this very great and very willing assistance they gave us. (especially your own little self). We had some fun reading over the way you sized up some of the boys whose names you had forgotten.

Enclosed find a list of the names you desire, twenty-seven in all, which includes everyone in the party. I might say regarding the assorting and packing of the relief goods here, owing to the short time at our disposal, from the time the order was given by Sir John that practically the entire staff in Toronto which means thousands got busy*). A large building was cleared and all the goods from the different departments were brought to one entre, assorted, sized and packed in cases; and our own motor-truck took them to the station.

I was very pleased to make the acquaintance of a lady friend of yours in the department needless to say a charming women and thinks there is no one in Canada to equal Miss Mary P. Freeman and *N.B. 82 men packed goods, collected in 8 hours. Lost 14 hours on route

Miscellaneous information regarding relief.
