J. Fearon, Principal [top left corner]
School for the Deaf [centered, top of the page]
HALIFAX, N. S

provided for and educated.

But to come back to out school. We hurried the pupils as fast as safety would permit to their homes, some to far off Newfoundland, some to New Brunswick, some to Prince Edward Island and the rest throughout Nova Scotia. Our building is badly shattered but not beyond repair, and we trust that before the summer is over, and when more necessary work than ours has been looked after, it will be completely renovated and made once again the most handsome structure in Halifax.

I am glad to know that I am not forgotten in Portadown. Thank all old friends for their kind sympathy and tell them we appreciate it very highly.

Yours sincerely, [centered]
