K. saw a Ford car & asked officer if he might have it - took it with two soldiers & brought him to 72. Vic. Rd.

Kingsley saw Howley come out bleeding & Curry (Angus) "white as a sheet". Howley took command: the order was to "Carry on" to Admiralty - found that impossible & "carried on" to Cogswell St. - Kingsley thinks they must have reached Cogswell St in about a quarter of an hour - fast walking -
