Personal Testimony Captain Cadet-Kingsley R.N.C.C
([told] to me in my own house Dec. 19.1917)
Cadets "standing by" - "brush" - ready for "Divisions" - Seniors in Senior Gun-room - a long narrow room on the east side facing the harbor - junior team in Junior Gun-room - on the opposite side of the building - N.B. the building is the old naval hospital & stands with the gable end to the north - met the shock in the best way possible - also the force of the blast was broken by the sugar refinery - As cadet - captain he was near the door ready for the "stand by"
