Miss Miss [sic] Morton, from Ottawa, and Miss Clark and Miss French, from Waltham Mass. (these two were lent to the V.O.N.) came specially to do eye-work. Miss French soon was transferred to district work, and Miss McLennan, Miss Jardine, and Miss McCracken were transferred from district to eye work. All of the eye nurses have gone from this department except Miss Clark, who is still working under Miss Randall at the School for the Blind.
Miss Ritchie, Toronto, Miss Desmond, ? , and Miss Fay McDonald of St. John, are others who came since the disaster for work in the city. Miss Gwen McDonald of Halifax, has been transferred from Y.M.C.A to duty at the Council House with V.O.N.
Miss Luxon came to Halifax to take charge of the V.O.N. on the 14th of January.
The Order has received generous gifts of clothing since the disaster, especially of children's clothing of very fine quality.
