Dear [Mr] Bell
I want to lay the enclosed before you as a rather typical case the carpets of our day and night
[nursery] were destroyed by the soot being blown all over them. I ordered a linoleum to take their place: the cost of this was 42 dollars.
I put in a claim for this (with other things) in a statement sent, according to advertisement, to a committee for dealings


Regarding expenses insured in connection with the explosion.
