From D. fraser Harris - MD

To T. Sherman Rogers [illegible] K.C.
Chairman of the Halifax Relief Commission

Dear [illegible] Rogers

I think I should like to have a rather more definite arrangement in connection with the proposed history of the medical aspect of the disaster.

I did not ask to do this work, but undertook it at Colonel Bell's request expecting shortly to have some "official" appointment. There is a good deal of the work such as compiling lists of names, verifying initials, dates re which is irksome and mechanical and could be done by someone possessing no medical knowledge. The writing occupies a fair deal of time which I could give to consultant practice and to more con[??]ial if not remunerative literary work. Visiting hospitals, calling on doctors or being there [illegible] consumes more time than I can conveniently share during the session.

Details regarding the proposed history of the medical aspect of the Disaster.
