Memorandum for the Consideration of the Halifax Relief Commission

In accordance with their instructions Prof. MacMechan has communicated with two Publishing Firms in New York, which evince interest in the projected history of the Disaster, but wish to see the completed manuscript.
He has also obtained figures from local printers regarding the pamphlet, which was mentioned in his conference with the Commission, and can obtain a satisfactory publication of 125 pages at $2.00 a page. The impression being 1,000 copies.
Prof. MacMechan would like it very much if all Minutes of Committee, correspondence, communications of all kinds, which are no longer needed in the work of 'relief' be turned into the Record Office, especially if there is any danger of their being lost or destroyed.

[Stamp - Public Archives of Nova Scotia Halifax]

The Commission decides to have a volume of the history of the Disaster issued for the fall trade.
