December 13th, 1917.
The expediency of having a Diary kept from day to day of incidents of the Disaster was discussed, and Mr. MacGillivray was instructed to take this matter up with Prof. MacMechin.

Dec. 14th, 1917.
Mr. MacGillivray reported that he had a conference with Prof. MacMechin with regard to a Diary or History being prepared in connection with the Disaster, and that Prof. MacMechin had consented to do the work.

December 26th, 1917.
Mr. MacGillivray reported re arrangement with Prof. A. MacMechan re the compilation of a history of the disaster. The records so collected to be the property of the Relief Committee. Mr. MacGillivray's memo re same was to be incorporated in the Minutes. Carried. (Mr. MacGillivray's memo - Dr. A. McMechan is authorized to incur an expenditure not exceeding $150 per month for assistance, clerical help, travelling and advertising in connection with his work in collecting and arranging material for a history of the Disaster. For the present no provision is made here for Dr. MacMechan's personal services. It is understood also that these records are to be the exclusive property of the Relief Committee).
