At Windsor the news of the organization of Mr. Graham's relief train was received by Mrs Fielding, president of the Red Cross Branch, who promptly put into action the forces which brought a quick and energetic response. Dr. Keddy, Dr. Bissett and nurses responded. Miss Smith, Supt. of the P. M. Hospital and four of her nurses, the Misses Wallace, MacDonald, McLellan and Wheadon were at the station when the train pulled in from Kentville about 11.30 a. m. Other nurses in the town, Miss Muriel Boulden and Miss Jean Geldert also joined the ranks. Miss Anderson relieved Nursing Sister McCrea at the Military Hospital. an dC.A.Ryan,chemist, was also on hand to assist in dispensing surgical supplies. Pte. Arthur Sinclair joined the party as "first aid" helper.
The D. A. R. contingent reached the City Hall about 3.30 p. m. and immediately scattered in all directions rendering efficient relief to the injured.
