All of these nurses have gone except Miss Jardine, Miss McCraken and Miss Durbrow.

Miss Morton came from Ottawa especially for eye-work, and Waltham, Mass. sent two nurses Miss Clark and Miss French for the same work, lending them to the V. O. N. for the time being. Miss McLennan, Miss Jardine and Miss McCraken were also given duty at the School for the Blind. Miss French later transferred to district work. Miss Clark is the only one of the eye-nurses who is still at the School for the Blind, the others having either gone away or taken over district work.

Besides the nurses already mentioned, Miss Ritchie of Toronto, Miss Desmond of ? , and Miss Fay MacDonald of St. John have come to Halifax since the explosion; and Miss Gwen MacDonald of Halifax has been transferred from the Y. M. C. A. to work with the V. O. N.

Note [underlined] Since the disaster the V. O. N. has received lavish donations of clothing, especially infants clothing, from all over Canada.
