William Edward Farron, of the cable steamer Lord Kelvin, found the body of his wife Joanna Farron, at the corner of his house, 16 Hanover Street. It was completely dismembered. He left it there in charge of a military man, but when he went after it had been taken away and he had been unable to locate it, although he has searched diligently. It was taken away by a military ambulance. Mr. Farron is also seeking for Miss Holdegarde Brophy of 16 Hanover Street.

Lieut. Balcom, H.C. of Paradise, N.S. hasa compound fracture of the leg and is at Camp Hill Hospital.

Among those to whom the disaster brought deaths of many close relatives is Mrs. Paul, wife of Mrs. A.R. Paul , of the Customs Department, who lost her mother, Mrs. Hamm, two sisters, three brothers, Harry, Robert and William, and a number of nieces and nephews.

George H. Bowen, Foreman from the C. G. R. Roundhouse and one son James, are unhurt, Mrs. Bowen is in the V.G Hospital with one leg amputated. Two children, Clara, age 12, and Alfred, age 5, have been killed. Tow nieces have also lost their lives, Mrs. Cam. Creighton and Miss Gertie Tummins.

CHANCE FOR HOMELESS
G.F. Longley, 32 Louisburg Street will let, rent free, to responsible parties, a cosy cottage across the Arm, suitable for two families, where they can be made quite comforable for the Winter.

The A.O.H. Hall, Hollis St., No. 1 Division will be opened to accomodate some of the homeless.

The Provincial Building will be fixed up for a shelter for the homeless. The Relief Commission can get further information by applying to the office of Works and Mines.

FOOD DEPOTS
Three Food Depots have been established: at City Hall, Armouries and St. Joseph's Hall. An assortment of groceries is given to each applicant in need of assistance. The relief so far has been to allevieate temporary conditions: but the establishmeet must be put on systematic basis for the next week, and steps are being taken for that purpose. The food from the Relief trains as well as the local supplies have beed used to advantage, thousonds being supplied at each deepot.

The storm raged into the early morning and the drifting snow made the streets almost impossible in places, many autos being stranded throughout the city. But day light brought clear and bright, but cold weather, a mantle of snow and frosty weather being now added to the difficuties which searchers and relief workers have to contend with. The temporarity repaired windows throughout the City were severely tested and in many cases blown in or out. Everywhere arpenters are at work temporarily repaing doors and windows and though they have been working night and day there is so much in that line to be done thatthe great amount already done is greatly overshadowed by the immense quantity yet remaining to be done.
All night long the great work of attending to and relieving the injured in the permanent and temporary hospitals and searchers n the devastated districts continued despite the fierceness of the storm thought the work was greatly hindered.....The relief train from Boston arrived this morning and is at the South End Terminals. it brough a unit of doctors and nurses and a lot of medical supplies and glass and other needed supplies. Mr. Simpson, of the Associated Press, came from Boston on the train.
PRIME MINISTERS STATEMENT.
Premier Borden arrived in the City this morning and went into conference immediately with the Relief Executive. The Premier gave out the following statement:
"The people of Canada are profoundly grateful for the generous sympathy of the people of the United States in the terrible disaster which has overtaken the City of Halifax, and they most deeply appreciate the splendid aid which has been offered and sent from so many communities of our great kindred nation".
Hon. A.C Ratschesky and Mr. Moors., and the Massachusetts contingent of surgeons and nurses, were on hand early this morning, after arrival fo rthe Massachusetts State Relief train, eager to be of service, and many necessary supplies have already been forwarded from Boston. The people of Nova Scotia, united by so many ties to the people of Massachusetts, are profoundly grateful for the prompt and splendid assistance which has thus been sent.
DEALING OUT FOOD
The police are commandering teams and [missing text]...the City Hall to get supplies to those in need [missing text] supplies in, penty were dealt out individually.
Word came from the North end today that between 100 and 200 bodies were being brought down on tugs to be landed at a South end wharf and removed to the morgue.
