Story of Norman Roberts, Aged 8. of 26 1/2 East Young St.,
Told by [xxxxxxxx], Miss Agnes Harlow, 282 Barrington St.
Mrs. Mabel Mildred Roberts was knocked insensible and her leg was terribly burned. Norman threw burning things out of the window, thinking that he could keep the house from burning. But he soon stopped that and dragged his mother out of the burning house. He led his little sister [xxx] Mabel aged two, out. She wouldn't go alone, she was frightened. Mrs. Roberts revived on Agricola St., several blocks away from her home. She believes that Norman dragged her there, Norman doesn't seem to know whether he did or not.
Mr. Charles Roberts, first officer on the 'Minia' on coming home found the house almost burnt to the ground and gave his people up for lost. Later found his wife in hospital. They are now at Mrs. Bates, 113 1/2 Morris St.,
