"What's that?" - Big blast at the terminals? Got out of the way of the glass - by back door [slammed?] open - front door jammed shut - where was John. - Saw ladies - [micks?] terrified out of their senses - counting their beads -. Thought it was an explosion - "An explosion down in the harbor" - went home with the news - Mrs Hussey making repairs sweeping up glass - went to [near?] Union with Miss [Lathrie?] - wanted to get messages - "a train to Truro" if any - [mountie?] officer ([man?]) - lots soldier this at P.O. - about 10. a. m. shouted to soldiers - who put their heads inside & [warned?] - injured in motors out - coal carts - "everyone was carrying what they could" - old lady with - Got to school for Blind. carrying out Annie Fraser - milkman left horse & cart
