but at this time it seems unnecessary as I only with to convey to you some idea of the work handled by this Committee.

We have had much adverse criticism and I am rather pleased that this is so than otherwise. We were in such a position that action was the one essential necessary towards the elimination of suffering and in many cases life or death; hence such criticism must necessarily follow and we feel that not being Transportation experts but laymen and Citizens of dear old Halifax, we have done what, in our judgment, was best under circumstances existent and as Chairman of this Committee I am willing to shoulder all the blame for its shortcomings.

I closing I wish to commend the very efficient and valuable assistance given this Committee by the most genial Vice-Chairman of them all, Mr. A.C. Watson.
