on account of a second explosion which was expected. A flat-waggon came and took them on. Men women and children were on the waggon. Went to Rockingham. Stayed all night in one of the unused houses. People of Rockingham brought mattresses and bed-clothes, also food. Next day she went to home of married [xx] daughter on Willow St., (Mrs. Shanks). Four children are living. Husband and five children are gone. The children who are living [xx] had been sent to school. Three were hurt and are in hospital. One unhurt child [x] is with her at the Acadian Hotel.
Mrs. Moore has lost her husband, five children, two sisters, four brothers, her mother, three sisters-in-law, and twenty-five nephews and nieces.
