PERSONAL NARRATIVE

Mrs. George Miller.
Home 185 Gottingen St., Corner of Uniacke.

Husband employed as mechanic in the Dockyard. On the day of the explosion went out into the street and was told that everyone in the Dockyard was killed. She was trembling and excited, very much distressed. Said that she had no further object in living, and gave away practically everything that she owned to injured and destitute persons. Later she saw her husband coming up the street, all bandaged. She came south to hunt up a friend, was thrown down and had her arm broken. This was on the Sunday, the 9th. Did not get relief. Drifted about for a week or [//] ten days. Managed to live in her home somehow, although it was damaged and she had no bedding.

NOTE Follow up.

Home, 185 Gottingen Street, corner of Uniacke Street.
