Stayed until 12 p, m. and went home to bed. Went back at 2 p. m. Saturday and stayed again until midnight. Then after that Mrs. Hart and Mrs. Henry took alternates nights and days. When the Americans came, Dr. Codman asked Mrs. Henry to keep on looking after things until they could get organized. She did. In five days they fed 2000 people As far as she could remember the women working there were: Miss Florence Blackwood Mrs. Thomas Stewart Mrs Fred Hart Miss Alison Stewart. Mrs. Tremaine Mrs. Harvey Doane Miss Dorothy Whitman Mrs. R. Woodbury Miss Gladys Woodbury Mrs. Mac. Grant. Mrs. Gregor Mitchell Mrs. Guy Staymer. and others.
Besides the voluntary workers there were doctors and nurses.
For six days Mrs. Henry cooked for 150 people.

The second week Mrs. Henry told Dr. Codman that there should be paid assistants.
Colonel McKelvey Bell sent a dietitian, Miss Katie Cunningham. For a fortnight after Christmas Mrs. Henry and Miss Cunningham did all the cooking unaided. Then orderlies came and a man-cook. McAdoo was the first cook they had. He left some little time ago and Brewster came.
Orderlies from Toronto arrived about a week after the disaster. They left the day after Christmas and orderlies came from Montreal.
After the American doctors left Major Hubbard took charge until January 2,. Since then Major Stewart has been in charge.
Miss Stewart of Fredericton was acting as Matron until the last of January. Matron McKenzie is now on duty.
