Director
Halifax, N.S.

Found Mr. Hallisey at Rockingham. Found also Mr. Graham there, manager of the D.A.R. Found him a gentleman. Had about 200 on board. One old man with his face almost eaten off with cancer, cut and bleeding, but survived. Three children died on the way to Truro. The injuries were broken limbs, and eyes. “Could not tell one person from another”. Only one doctor. Everybody worked “I think I saved one woman’s life”. Explanation, by bandaging and stopping [herher] hemorrhage. “Doctor told me so”.
