Personal testimony of Miss Flannigan, (Second Series).
Taken at the H. L. C. Hospital, Dec, 27th 1917.

Mrs. Moore and Mrs. Hinch of Veith St.
Mrs Moore lost forty relatives. Mrs. Hinch lost her husband and five children. Her husband went out to see the fire. She followed, and saw him killed not ten yards away from her. Before the explosion, Mrs. Moore was drawing $100 per week from various members of her family. Moreover she had 14 paying boarders. Her total asses now, including insurance and workman's compensation, do not exceed $2000.00. Mrs Hinch was drawing $50.00. The Undertakers treated both of these ladies very badly.

Vincent MacDonald 1248 Barrington St.
He ran from the train on which he was working at North St. His house had collapsed. He found his little boy, with his eye hanging upon his cheek. set him upon a log, and went to rescue the other members of his family whom he could hear groaning. He heard his little boy shrieking and went back to find him drowning in the "five inches" of water which the tidal wave had left upon Barrington St. Took him down to "a boat". but could not find one. By the time MacDonald could return to his house, it was only a mass of smouldering ashes. The rest of his family were burned alive.
