Miss Olga Clemen was in Boston at time of the explosion.

First news said whole of Halifax wiped out, by fire. [illegible] Afternoon edition of papers. Five o'clock edition said "Everything north of the Queen Hotel". Next morning "2000 killed, 1000 suffering from exposure and wounds".
Sunday went down to Halifax Relief Depot on Berkeley St. to help pack boxes for Halifax. Another depot was established in the old Technology Buildings. Packed 59 cases at Berkeley St. that day, Lights were not turned [in] in the Building and they could not work later. Only sent good clothing, discarding what was not in repair. Sent fur coats. Miss Clemen found four fur coats and many sets of furs. Men sent suits to the cleaners [to] before sending them to Halifax.
Went to Memorial Services at Arlington St. Church, for the Halifax Dead. Very impressive, beautiful music. Governor McColl of Mass. Rousmanier, Bishop of St. Paul's Cathedral, Dean of the Newton Theological Seminary, and two other speakers gave [adresses]. Will send all information she can gather.
