Miss C. drove them to Mrs. Dennis's house and went home. Just reached the garage when the gasoline gave out. Mr. C. telephoned the garage to use the car as they wished. The authorities used the car until the first week in January.
NOTE. The night of the seventh of December Miss Claire Howe came to Miss C's home with a bale of flannelette. She left it with Miss C. who cut out and made three night dresses before she went to bed. They made up the whole bale.
NOTE. After the seventh Miss C. helped wherever and however she could, chiefly at the [illegible] Infirmary and at St. Paul's Hall.
