W.G. MacLaughlan photographic albums of buildings damaged by the Halifax Explosion

Widow Mary (Higgins) Wright and her young son lived at 45 Hester Street (now 36 Hester Street), Dartmouth.  In her published first-person account of the Explosion, Mary's daughter, Gertrude (Wright) Pettipas, described the house as being "almost a total ruin."
